We reach this point every year during the off season--The point at which we can't sit idley by and wait for the cool breeze of Autumn to bring hunting season our way once again. Determined to force the issue, the band of hunters decide to brave the heat of summer and chase whitetails!!! This is their story.....

Messages were sent to the chosen few... Join the great spiderman in his quest to reduce the numbers of deer running rampant throughout the land. More importantly, come on over, tell lies, and go home empty handed!!!! Directions are as follows.....

95 south to 495 south towards Silver Spring. Follow 495 and move to the right lane as you cross the Legionaires Bridge(look straight up river--that's Spidey's place). Take the Georgetown Pike (193) exit. Turn right at the end of the ramp going towards Great Falls. Follow 193 to the town of Great Falls and stop at the 7-11. This will be the meeting place. 4:30 am sharp. Those who are late will unfortunately be left behind!

A certain Texican was so happy to hunt from an elevated stand we had to threaten to leave him to get him to come down!

All hunters (with the exception of the Southern Contingent) harvested a doe on the morning hunt!

In Virginia, if you don't harvest an animal--You wash the truck!

Tuesday's delegation heads for the woods for an eveving hunt. Not pictured are Head Guide Spiderman, and Assistant Guide(cat killer) Troy!

After parachuting in with Stormrider(not shown in photo, still hanging in tree somewhere) Troy is finally ready for the afternoon hunt!

While lounging around SPIDERMAN'S place, eating everything in the refridgerator,Troy was able to do a more detailed (somewhat self-serving) account of the week's hunts. Check outTROY GREEN'S SIDE OF THE STORY!!!

I decided to give the deer a much needed break and break out my old Bear recurve !

After I blew a chance at a shot from only three yards, this doe made the mistake of getting within range of Tony! This is Tony's first whitetail by bow! Good shootin!

This is the Saturday contingent; KathiS, Bowdad, and Scott In VA!

Immediatly upon entering the woods, we realized why Troy was having trouble sleeping, in his excitement over Tony taking his first deer, he had lost his weeks supply of smart pills in the dark!

Scott must really mean business-he came to hunt with two bows!

Here's a shot of KathiS in her ground blind.

This was the view from my morning blind!
